The client’s brief requested the design of outdoor furniture that would visually integrate into the environment of wooden cottages in the Orava region. Specifically, the project includes a picnic table and a lounger that are intended to complement each other while being durable enough to withstand year-round outdoor use. For this reason, we opted for a minimalist design with a clear expression and sturdy construction. A key requirement for the table was partial disassembly, which allows for easy transport and flexibility in storage.

To create a solid yet visually clean construction, we drew inspiration from traditional elements of wooden cottages. Specifically, we incorporated the crossing of tubes in the construction, evoking the principle of wooden beams used in traditional roofs and sheds. This detail brings a distinctive motif to the table while respecting the surrounding environment. The lounger shares similar visual characteristics with the table but is designed to function equally well as a standalone piece.
